ACE Alumni

Hi all,

As many of you know, I joined Oracle as a Database Product Manager and became an ACE Alumni.

The Oracle ACE Program is intended for Customers and Partners, not for employees.

I was in the program for 10 years and I will continue to support the program, now on the Oracle side.

I'm very thankful for the program, especially for Jennifer Nicholson who runs the program with passion and supported me all these years.

Before I left the program, I had sufficient points for one more year :)

As an Oracle employee, I also need to step out from the Brazil Oracle User Group (GUOB) board, but I will always be helping.

Happy Holidays and see you in 2024!

A Dream Come True: Starting My Journey at Oracle

Dreams have a funny way of coming true when you least expect them. After years of hard work, dedication, and unwavering determination, I find myself at the threshold of a new and exciting chapter in my career: starting at Oracle, the company I've always dreamt of being a part of. Join me on this journey as I share my thoughts, experiences, and the incredible opportunity that has come my way.

Oracle Corporation, a global leader in cloud computing and database technology, has been a beacon of innovation and excellence in the tech industry for decades. From the early days of Larry Ellison's vision to its current status as a tech giant, Oracle has consistently pushed the boundaries of what's possible in the world of technology. For me, Oracle represented not just a company but a place where dreams could become a reality.

Getting to Oracle wasn't a walk in the park. Like many others, I faced my fair share of challenges and setbacks. The tech industry is fiercely competitive, and Oracle's standards are as high as its skyscraper headquarters. I had to put in countless hours of study, gain valuable experience, and network tirelessly to even get my foot in the door. The journey was long, but it was worth every moment.

One sunny morning, while sipping coffee and scrolling through my emails, a message popped up in my inbox that changed my life forever: "Congratulations! You've been selected to join Oracle." The feeling of elation and disbelief that washed over me was indescribable. It was the call I had been waiting for, the culmination of all my hard work and dedication.

Oracle's culture is unique and deeply rooted in its commitment to excellence. The emphasis on teamwork, continuous learning, and pushing the boundaries of technology resonates with me. I found myself surrounded by mentors and colleagues who were not only experts in their fields but also genuinely passionate about what they do.

I will join one of the best and most knowledgeable teams at Oracle, responsible for Oracle Database Upgrades and Migrations. It will take me a while to be at the same level as the rest of the team, but I will work hard on it :)

Starting at Oracle has been nothing short of a dream come true. It's a testament to the power of perseverance, dedication, and God's grace. I look forward to the exciting challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. If you're dreaming of joining your own "company of dreams," remember that with hard work and determination, dreams can indeed become reality.
